Comprehensive Billing Services

We provided prompt, personalized attention for your medical practice. Unlike web based billing companies, we provide immediate action. When a claim is denied, a certified coder will conduct the research, make all necessary calls and take action appropriate to the claim. All payments, including personal, insurance, Medicaid and Medicare payments are posted by certified coders who confirm you received correct reimbursement. We are structured to bill using your existing system or incorporate our practice management/billing system.

If you have an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, our services compliment this software. Our certified coders provide a second set of eyes on documentation, capturing all services, ensure your bills are coded correctly (provider coding education) to maximize your reimbursement. Our certified coders work proactively to ensure you are prepared in the event of an Office of Inspector General or another payer’s audit.

Coding Education (Group & Individual)

Northeast Medical Practice Consultants is able to offer either prospective or retrospective chart auditing to assist you with your practice compliance plan. It is now more important than ever to have an independent chart audit as there is a chance your practice may be targeted by the OIG, RACs, and other third-party auditors.

Our professional coders are members of the American Academy of Professional Coders. To ensure your practice is in compliance with CMS guidelines we can prepare an offsite audit of 10-15 charts with a written summary report. We provide the information to learn the proper steps for choosing appropriate levels of history, exam, and medical decision-making. It is important to make sure your charts are in order in the event of an audit.

Fee Schedule Analysis/Development

The physician fee schedule is an important tool to any practice and a well developed and maintained fee schedule reflects a practice that is fiscally responsible and organizationally sound. We can review an existing fee schedule or create a new fee schedule to ensure the CPT and diagnosis codes are correct and appropriate for your practice. We will help determine that your fee schedule take into account the costs incurred by the practice and the value provided by that practice in delivering quality medical care.
